DBS Employees Volunteer to Cleanup Duluth Road
Last year to be more involved with our community, DBS adopted a local highway along Snively Road in Duluth. On October 25th this year, eight DBS employees gathered to participate in our bi-annual adopted highway cleanup effort. The enthusiastic eight were led by DBS’ Owner, Bonnie Sundberg. She shared, “I’m thrilled to have people in our organization who are passionate about helping the community we work in. We are proud to be part of the Duluth community. Providing this service makes us happy to give back and help keep Duluth roads clean and safe.”
Cleaning up the side of busy roads like Snively is no easy task. We were prepared with many heavy-duty trash bags and our bright yellow reflective vests. A healthy competition of who could fill their bag up first took place. Kristin Kramer, DBS’ Receptionist, was on top of her game. We crowned her champion of cleanup when she came up from the ditch with a giant car exhaust pipe (see photo below).
It was a beautiful day to be outside picking up trash! Not many people can say that, but we are lucky here in Duluth, with our picturesque views and mild fall weather, it’s hard to complain.
