Sonia Peterson

Sonia Peterson joined the DBS family in 2023 as our Duluth Recruiter and comes to DBS with a rich background in recruiting. She is one to build strong relationships, likes to think ahead, and collaborates well with other hiring managers while also empathizing with the candidates she interviews. She states that being a recruiter involves playing many roles and that she is continuously seeking self-improvement, while also representing the company in the best way she can. A great quality that she brings to her role is that she enjoys taking time to build relationships with her team. Getting to understand what the team truly needs to make an amazing business, is something she truly enjoys doing. Sonia enjoys being knowledgeable in all aspects of the company and finding joy in helping to build an amazing team that will help improve all the different areas of DBS while working for a company with a strong reputation!
When Sonia isn't in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family; husband Mike and sons Zach and Danny and soon-to-be daughter-in-law Lyndsay and her grandson Grayson! She also has a passion for traveling and relishes her adventures at Disney World and Disneyland, as well as embarking on Caribbean cruises and exploring new destinations! If she could have dinner with any historical character, she would choose to dine with Walt Disney because she would want him to tell her all about having a dream of the most "Magical place on Earth!"
